Japan Smart Retail Case Study

Retailers around the world are increasingly turning to extended reality (XR) solutions to boost user engagement and improve sales performance. KOGI strives to offer dynamic technology solutions that enhance the shopping experience while delivering value and bolstering operational efficiency for retailers.

In 2019, KOGI showcased its smart retail expertise in Tokyo, Japan; deploying smart display technology to create a “virtual” dressing room at the flagship location of a major Japanese retailer in the fashionable Harajuku Shopping District.

KOGI worked closely with the retail giant to deliver a rewarding digital dressing room experience for shoppers that reduced the need for costly warehouse inventory while maximizing in-store product display space. Shortly after project completion, KOGI’s technology solution was featured in US business media giant Bloomberg’s profile of the store as an example of new technology enhancing the retail experience.

For retailers hoping to promote online-to-offline and offline-to-online shopping behavior, KOGI’s extended reality (XR) design solutions can make an immediate difference.
