AI Diagnostic Tools Are Turbocharging COVID-19 Detection

Effective detection systems are critical to halting the spread of COVID-19. Around the globe, hospital administrators use artificial intelligence (AI) to help trained medical staff quickly and accurately read chest x-rays for signs of infection. To that end, Taiwan's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently approved the use of one such AI system to help detect COVID-19 through x-ray analysis.

KOGI is a strong believer in the power of AI to reshape diagnostics for the better. Already this year, KOGI has entered into projects with two major government-affiliated hospital systems in the vibrant GCC region. Both projects focused on API integration with existing diagnostic user interfaces (UI) to allow for accurate, AI-based COVID-19 detection from x-ray analysis. The integration process was straightforward and did not force trained medical personnel to refamiliarize themselves with the existing hospital UI.

In both cases, KOGI’s system logic proved effective and up to the required technical standards the hospitals had in place. By allowing the AI to perform detection and write up patient reports, trained medical staff focused more time and energy on patient care.
